A local doctor who had his office raided by the FBI was indicted on felony drug charges. Dr. Constantino Perales of Peru faces two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance in La Salle County. He was indicted Tuesday.
Officers arrested Perales at his Seventh Street Clinic office in Peru August 26. The arrest came after what police called a lengthy investigation into the dealing of Oxycontin and Lorazepam, both prescription drugs.
Perales remains in the La Salle County Jail with his bond set at $1 million. At the time of Perales’s arrested, La Salle County State’s Attorney Brian Towne said more charges were expected.
