Grand Jury indicts man accused of Sandy Ford Bridge shooting

Posted by wlpo on September 10, 2013

Several weeks after a man was shot on the Sandy Ford Bridge, the man accused of pulling the trigger remains in jail.  Richard Felton of Tonica and Chicago was indicted Tuesday by a La Salle County Grand Jury.  He’s charged with attempted first degree murder for the shooting of Jeremy Wade of Grand Ridge.

Police say Wade was shot in the face, fell from the bridge and broke his hip the night of August 18.   Felton was arrested a little over 24 hours later in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Felton remains in jail while Wade recovers from his injuries.
