Washburn Attempted Abduction Could Be Linked To Toluca

Posted by wlpo on September 18, 2013

If you’ve been following the story in Toluca about a girl who says two men tried to lure her, there could be a break in the case.

Jonathan Nunnally and Tyler Merriman of Peoria were arrested Friday in Washburn after they allegedly tried luring a 9-year old boy in their car.  Officers say the pair was also driving around in a stolen vehicle.

Marshall County Sheriff Rob Russell says there are similarities between the Washburn attempted abduction and the one last Wednesday in Toluca.  Russell says the Toluca girl’s description of a vehicle and two men were very similar to what the boy in Washburn said to police.

Both Merriman and Nunnally are in the Woodford County Jail on 75 hundred dollars bond.
