Two-way stop intersections can lead to accidents.  That’s the case with a fender bender last evening in Peru.

Officers say Rachel Dose of Oglesby was driving on Rock Street towards the 7th Street intersection when she collided with Donna Wahlstrom of La Salle.  Dose and her SUV ended up driving through a yard, over a city street sign before hitting a tree head on.  Dose was taken to Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.

She was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign.  Wahlstrom wasn’t hurt.

L-P Choir Needs Help To Sing At Carnegie Hall

Posted by wlpo on September 20, 2013

If you have a passion for singing, there are few venues more appealing than Carnegie Hall in New York City.  With your help, over 30 L-P students will sing at the world famous concert hall in April.

A website has been established where you can donate to the L-P Choir.  They’re trying to raise 50 thousand dollars, or roughly 15 hundred dollars per student.

The 50 thousand dollars the choir needs includes transportation costs, hotel and meals.  Taylor says since the choir isn’t a professional group, they have to pay to perform at Carnegie Hall.
