Rally To Save Social Services

Posted by wlpo on June 18, 2009

Like many agencies that rely on state funding to provide services to people with disabilities, officials with Gateway Services in Princeton want to see the state budget fully funded.

They’re hoping for a tax increase so funding for the Department of Human Services won’t be affected. To raise awareness of this, they’re planning to hold a rally this afternoon near the Bureau County Courthouse.

CEO and President of Gateway Services Jeff Dean and Director of the Zearing Child Enrichment Center Andrea Anderson are two of the people expected to speak.

The rally is scheduled for 1:30.
