Woman taken to hospital and ticketed following crash

A crash north of Sheridan sent a woman to the hospital.

Police say that Mark Stanek of Serena was heading south when Karen Thomas of Earlville pulled out in front of him Friday.  Thomas was taken to Valley West Hospital in Sandwich and was ticketed for failing to yield and driving without insurance.

Two reportedly dead after crash on I-80

If you drove to East Moline for the LP football game, you may had a longer drive back than expected.  A serious accident in Henry County stopped eastbound traffic on Interstate 80 for several hours last night.   Traffic had to be rerouted to Route 6.

The Quad-City Times reports that the accident involved a minivan and a semi and left two people dead.

LST in Henry

A ship used during World War two has traveled from from Evansville, Indiana to Henry.  The LST is open for tours today through Tuesday, from 9-5.

You’ll find the ship docked on the Illinois River at the foot of the Route 18 bridge.   Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids, and $20 for families.
