Posted by wlpo on September 7, 2011

If the LaMoille Blacktop is part of your usual drive, you’ll need to find an alternate route.  The bridge on the blacktop, also known as Bureau County Highway 11 is being replaced.  Construction is scheduled to begin next Tuesday.  The LaMoille Blacktop will be closed from Route 92 to 2950th North Road.  The bridge should be reopened by Thanksgiving at the latest.

Baby shower and open house planned for Project Success

Posted by wlpo on September 7, 2011

When you’re packing up items to donate to the food pantry you’ve probably got a mix of canned vegetables and boxed items.  Rarely is the food anything you could feed a baby, but there is a need for that.

Jan Martin is with Project Success and the Hall Township Food Pantry in Spring Valley.  She says the families they serve often have babies.

You can donate baby items during an open house and shower Thursday.  They won’t be accepting jars of baby food or clothing, but they will take things like baby cereal.   It runs from 1-7pm at their office on Terry Street in Spring Valley.

You can learn more about what they do at Project Success by listening to an interview that’s up at the AM 1220 WLPO news page.
