Crash Sends Three To The Hospital

Three people were hurt after an alcohol related crash in Streator.

Shaun Dondelinger of Streator is accused of failing to yield earlier this week at Shabbona and Bridge Street. He crashed into Ralph Pollett of Watauga. Dondelinger, Pollett and a passenger of his were all taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Streator.

Dondelinger was arrested for DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol.

Driver Arrested For Drugs With Kid Onboard

Driving around under the influence of drugs is bad enough let alone doing it with a kid onboard.

La Salle Police say Wesley Stohr of La Salle was doing this when they pulled him over last night. Stohr was arrested for DUI of drugs, possession of cannabis and paraphernalia, and endangering the life or health of a child.

He was released on bond and given a court date.

Firefighters Clean Up Spilled Fuel in Peru

A broken down semi apparently represented an opportunity for area thieves.

Peru firefighters were called out to the old Tiki truck stop Friday morning to hose down spilled fuel. They think the fuel came from a semi that was stripped down and on blocks.

Besides fuel, all 10 wheels of the semi were also gone.
