Private interest groups and corporations have lobbyist in every state capital and in Washington D.C., but does Peru need to have one?
Mayor Scott Harl thinks so and tonight he’ll introduce a lobbyist to the city council. Aldermen could decide to hire Tim McAnarney for $24,000.
The city could also be taking the former demolition contractor for old electric plant to court.
The Peru City Council meets at 7:30pm Monday.
