Man accused in stabbing remains in jail

Several weeks after a stabbing at a motel near Streator, the man accused of the attack remains in jail.  William Reed of Streator was indicted Tuesday for aggravated battery.

Reed’s accused of stabbing a man and woman also living at the Pines Motel.  The man and woman were treated for their injuries in Peoria.

Meanwhile, Reed is being held in the La Salle County Jail with his bond set at $500,000.

Chicago teens indicted for drugs

The La Salle County Jail has become a new home for two 17-year-old boys from Chicago.  Rashad Barksdale and Brandon McLaurin were indicted Tuesday for felony drug charges in La Salle County. 

The teens were arrested last week by members of TRIDENT in Ottawa.  Barksdale is accused of having heroin; McLaurin is accused of having cocaine.  They’re each charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and their bonds are $1 million.

 

Streator Runaway Gone For A Month

Streator Police need your help in finding a missing teenage girl who may have runaway by choice.

Chief Kurt Pastirik put out a flyer saying 14-year old Daley Flynn of Streator is a runaway whose been missing since June 2^nd.  Her family and investigators think she’s around Ottawa and Streator and may be hanging with a man in his 20s.

Flynn has blonde hair, blue eyes, is around 5’3 and 115 pounds and sometimes goes by the name Delilah Flynn.  If you have information on where she is call the Streator Police Department.
