Posted by wlpo on June 14, 2014

At least eight police agencies are investigating the discovery of two women’s bodies and an injured man in a Dwight home.

Dwight Police stated they went to a home in the 200 block of North street at 4:30am Saturday looking for an injured man. While going through the home, they found the two bodies and an injured man lying on the floor. Associated Press says there have been no arrests and the injured man has since underwent surgery.

Dwight Chief of Police Tim Henson said we will not “let any stone go unturned” as they investigate. Several police agencies are investigating with the Livingston County States Attorney and the Coroner.

Anyone with information has been asked to call Dwight Police at 815-584-3132.

Movie to be set and filmed in Ottawa

Posted by wlpo on June 14, 2014

Rumors travel fast in a small town especially when the word is that someone is missing. The fear sends Ottawa into a frenzy in the new comedy film, “River City Panic.”

The feature length film being shot next month in Ottawa is the latest creative effort by Tyler Amm. You might remember him from the Ottawa is Serious Fun parody music video.

Amm says he has a cast and crew of over 60 people, including a film crew and cinematographer from Chicago. He’s turned to online fundraising site Kickstarter to raise eight thousand dollars to double the film’s budget. As of Friday he was $3400 short of goal.

Amm says it will be filmed over nine days in July. He hopes to have a movie premiere at the Roxy Theater in downtown Ottawa.

Learn more about the film and how you can get involved by listening to an interview with Amm that’s up at the WLPO AM and FM news page.
