Streator driver recovering in Peoria hospital

Posted by wlpo on December 22, 2013

The slippery roads six miles east of Streator may have played a factor in a single vehicle accident handled by the sheriff’s office after 9am yesterday. 24-year old Shaun Johnson of Streator was southbound on East 24th road and crossed the railroad tracks. Johnson then lost control of the car, entered a ditch and rolled a number of times.  The sheriff’s office has since made a correction.  It was Shaun Johnson – the driver who went to St. Francis Medical Center with back injuries – not Adam.   His brother and passenger,  23-year old Adam Johnson of Streator was treated for injuries at St. Mary’s Hospital and then released.
