Rural Streator Man Seriously Hurt In Dog Attack

You can have the sweetest dog in the world but they all have primal instincts.

Thomas Miller was rushed from his rural Streator home to a hospital this morning after being seriously hurt when his Labrador retriever attacked him.  The dog was killed at the scene.  An initial report from the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office says investigators don’t know why Miller’s dog attacked him.

Miller was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital.

Area Teen Hurt in Rollover On Route 18

A rollover crash near Streator sent a teenage boy to a hospital.

Matthew Giacinto of Streator was on Route 18 west of Streator yesterday afternoon when he rolled his vehicle.  Deputies haven’t said why he rolled.

Giacinto was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
