The on-site health clinic, IVCH CampusCare is scheduled to open Tuesday, February 21 in Illinois Valley Community College.

It will be modeled on the IVCH FastCare clinic at the Peru Walmart and will offer similar services.  A certified family nurse practitioner will see walk-in patients for things like the flu and throat and ear infections.  There will be a $57 flat fee.

Rambling Mackowiak Confession Interview Played To Jurors

Posted by wlpo on February 9, 2012

Who is responsible for killing Al and Catherine Twardowski?  Jurors in the double-murder trial of Keith Mackowiak spent Thursday morning watching a video taped police interview done with Mackowiak hours after the bodies were found in July 2007.

Police Detective Mike Renner told the jury he found nothing inside of the Twardowski’s home to show more than one person was involved.

Renner can be heard on the tape during which Mackowiak pleaded to call his mother, which he was allowed to do.

Renner than pressed Mackowiak, saying he was wearing Al Twardowski’s jeans and had bloody socks.  Mackowiak continue to point the blame towards his friends Dave Dulabahn and Jennifer Bartlett, saying he was outside when the other two “snapped”.

This afternoon’s testimony also involves the tape.
