Update: Bond set for Henry stabbing suspect

Bond has been set at $50,000 for a Putnam County man accused of stabbing a man in Henry. Charles Hawk of Magnolia is accused of going to the home of a man he knew, stabbing him and leaving Friday evening.

The man was taken to Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton while officers in Marshall and Putnam Counties looked for Hawk’s pickup truck. Hawk was eventually arrested for aggravated battery and unlawful use of a weapon.

Hawk is being held in the Marshall County Jail.

Man accused of stabbing another man indicted

A man from Streator is now facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly stabbing a man.

22-year-old Dustin Bennington was indicted Tuesday in La Salle County Court on an attempted murder charge along with aggravated battery. He was arrested in late August in Wisconsin after allegedly stabbing a man several times in Streator on August 16th.

Bennington is in the La Salle County Jail on $500,000 bond.

Arrest made in Streator stabbing

One man is in custody and another is recovering in a hospital after an apparent stabbing in Streator.

Dustin Bennington of Streator was arrested over the weekend after allegedly leaving the scene of a stabbing Saturday morning. Investigators say the victim is a 20-year-old man who was stabbed several times in his upper body. He’s in critical but stable condition.

Bennington is charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a weapon. He was arrested in Fond du Lac County in Wisconsin and is being held on $500,000 bond.

Anyone with information about the stabbing should call the Streator Police Department.

Attempted murder charge filed after Streator attack

A stabbing in Streator has a man facing an attempted murder charge.

William Milian was indicted Tuesday in La Salle County Court for attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a woman late last month in Streator. The woman was flown to a hospital for treatment.

Besides attempted murder, Milian is also looking at an aggravated battery charge. He’s in the La Salle County Jail on $2 million bond.

Man arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman in Streator

A so-called domestic dispute in Streator left a woman suffering from a stab wound. The police were called to East Main Street early Saturday morning for a 34-year-old woman that had been stabbed.

The woman, whose name and condition weren’t being made available, was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital and eventually to another hospital.

Meanwhile, officers were arresting 29-year-old William Milian. Police say Milian had left the area but was soon found on East Morrell Street and was arrested for aggravated domestic battery.

Milian was taken to the La Salle County Jail. The stabbing is being investigated by the Streator Police Department and the La Salle County State’s Attorney.

This story was corrected to change the charge to aggravated domestic battery.
