House fire keeps crews from Earlville, Leland and Paw Paw busy

Fire damaged a home in Earlville.  A passerby called 911 just after 8am Tuesday after noticing smoke coming from the windows of a home in the 700 block of North Main Street.

Leland and Paw Paw firefighters provided help to Earlville.  Nobody was inside the one-story house when firefighters arrived.

Motorcyclist in serious condition after accident on Route 23

A crash between a truck and motorcycle has left the rider is in serious condition.  La Salle County deputies say Jake Fulk was heading south on Route 23 east of Earlville Monday afternoon when he tried to pass a truck that had slowed to turn. The two collided.

Fulk was flown to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove where he was in serious condition Tuesday afternoon.
