Mendota Police aggressive during first snow emergency

Posted by wlpo on December 6, 2016

Everyone wants their streets plowed after a snowstorm. But not everyone helps the snowplow drivers get the job done.

According to the NewsTribune, Mendota Police handed out 17 tickets for parking violations during Sunday’s snow. In Mendota you have to have your car off the street whenever there is two inches or more snow at least until your street has been cleared.

The Oglesby City Council also gave a friendly reminder about their snow parking ordinance during a meeting Monday night.
