You’ve probably heard, and even seen, the increased police presence if you’ve been driving over the Thanksgiving holiday. But did you ever think to look up for possible cops?
The Illinois State Police District 17 says they’ve set up “air speed zones” along a number of highways and routes. They include Routes 34 and 17 in LaSalle County.
Another air patrol was set up along Interstate 80 yesterday near Utica. During the 2-hour patrol, 16 people were caught speeding doing an average of 86 miles-per-hour.
A total of 13 warnings and 3 tickets were handed out.
