Utica Altercation Leads to Galesberg Man’s Arrest

A Galesberg man is in trouble after getting into an altercation at a truck stop yesterday morning.
LaSalle County Deputies responded to the scene of a domestic altercation at the Love’s Truck Stop in Utica around 5:00. According to police, 27-year old Corey Lawson is accused of repeatedly striking a female family member, along with choking her.
Lawson was arrested for domestic battery and hauled off to the county jail in Ottawa. The victim refused medical treatment.
