Indicted Drug Dealers Face Multi-Million Dollar Bonds

Posted by wlpo on November 25, 2016

If you’re caught with a large amount of drugs that you were allegedly planning to sell, you can expect your bond to break seven-figures.

That’s the case for four drug cases that went before a grand jury in LaSalle County Tuesday. Among those indicted were 23-year old Cesar Salazar from Cicero, and 41-year old Jose Astorga-Nunez from California. Both men are accused of having more than 10 pounds of marijuana with the intent to deliver, and Astorga-Nunez is also accused of having more than 2 pounds of cocaine.

Thirty-three year old Joshua Chavez from Sandwich was also indicted on 2 felony charges. He allegedly had possession of several hundred grams of cocaine, and between 5 and 10 pounds of pot.

Finally, 33-year old Michael Worsley from LaSalle was indicted on 2 counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. His Class 1 charges and $1 million bond were the least of the group.

All 4 men are still in custody at the LaSalle County Jail. Apart from Worsley, the other men all had their bonds set at $2 million.
