“Summer Camp” Director Claims Contract Talks Tough

Posted by wlpo on November 12, 2016

A yearly revenue stream could be ending for law enforcement in Putnam and Marshall County.

Founder and Director of the Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, Ian Goldberg has put out a letter saying they are having troubles with Three Sisters Park officials over terms of the festival’s contract.  Goldberg says no decision has been made to move but they are looking at new sites including Kennekuk County Park outside of Danville.  The festival founder says “if we are forced to make a move, you can trust it will be because we all can no longer feel welcome in this space.”

The festival usually brings thousands of people through Marshall and Putnam County using Route’s 18 and 29 to get to Chillicothe.  The sheriff’s offices usually set up traffic checkpoints to look for speeders and festival-goers hauling drugs.
