Vials of Life still available at Streator Fire Department

Posted by wlpo on November 6, 2016

The Streator Fire Department began their Streator Vial of Life program during the departments Open House Saturday.  If you are a resident of the city and missed the opportunity to pick up your vial of life, you can do so anytime by stopping by the Fire Department.

The Vial of Life is a nationally recognized program saving lives by providing emergency responders with lifesaving medical information in an emergency.  The Vial is a medical form that is stored inside a plastic bottle and then placed in your refrigerator.  Emergency responders called to your home will know to look in the refrigerator for important medical information.

The project is through donations from OSF Center for Health-Streator, E. J. McKernan Company and Signs by Anderson.
