An Arizona man will be spending considerably more time in LaSalle County than he expected while he waits for his trial.

Forty-five year old Reginald Reeder of Arizona pled “not guilty” in court Thursday to possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. He was arrested last week after a routine traffic stop. During the stop, state troopers allegedly found more than 3 pounds of heroin in Reeder’s vehicle.

In addition to the plea, Reeder’s attorney also indicated he will try and get his bond reduced from the $2 million it is at currently. Reeder’s still in custody as he hasn’t come up with the $200,000 needed to be released.

His trial was set for January 23rd. He’s due back in court December 16th.
