Barn burns outside of Sublette

Posted by wlpo on October 18, 2016

Mendota firefighters were among those called to help fight a barn fire southwest of Sublette.

The initial fire call came in around 9:15 Monday morning about a fully engulfed barn on Penkins Road in rural Sublette. Sublette immediately called for mutual aid to fight the fire.
Because of hay inside of the barn, it took firefighters about eight hours to have the fire out. Nobody was hurt in the blaze.

The property damage estimate is said to be around $50,000.
