Foster homes needed for dogs saved during Granville fire

Posted by wlpo on October 11, 2016

A couple dogs displaced by a fire could use temporary homes.

A German Shepard mix and a Shar-Pei and basset hound mix were saved Saturday afternoon from a fire at the Oak Part Estate’s trailer park in Granville. The German Shepard is a 9-year-old male that’s in tact while the basset mix is a five-year-old spayed female. The folks at Illinois Valley Animal Rescue say they need a foster home for the dogs for two to three weeks.

Nobody was home in the fire which is being investigated by the state fire marshal’s office according to the NewsTribune.
