Mendota first responders step up and help deliver a baby

Posted by wlpo on September 28, 2016

It was a job well done by Mendota firefighters and paramedics.

A 9-1-1 call came in Saturday morning about a seven-month pregnant woman having labor pains. Once first responders showed up to her apartment, they found the woman was in labor. With no time to get her to a hospital, firefighters and paramedics took it upon themselves to help the mom deliver a baby boy.

The baby and mom are both said to be doing well.
