Criminal History Short but Present for Man Accused of Hiding Dewey’s Body

Posted by wlpo on September 17, 2016

The man behind bars for allegedly trying to hide the body of Deb Dewey has a criminal history, albeit a short one.

In 2002, then 52-year-old Clifford Andersen of Standard was indicted on felony charges of deceptive practice and home repair fraud.  The home repair charges were thrown out after he pled guilty to deceptive practice.  Andersen was given probation and paid restitution of $25,000.

In 2007, the 57-year-old Andersen was ticketed in La Salle County on New Year’s Eve for driving with a revoked and/or suspended license.  And finally almost three years ago to the day, Andersen was ticketed in Bureau County for driving an uninsured motor vehicle.
