A month after being found guilty of first-degree murder, a Varna man wants a new trial.
Twenty-three-year-old Bradley French thinks his jury was biased so he wants a redo. His jury deliberated a little more than three hours last month before they blamed French for killing 38-year-old Joshua Scaman of Oglesby last year with a bow and arrow.
French is scheduled to be sentenced in Ottawa on September 23rd. He’s looking at 20 to 60 years in prison.
