The outstanding work being done by veterans is once again being recognized by the state.
Nominations are open again for the Illinois Veterans’ Patriotic Volunteer Appreciation Award. According to IDVA Director Erica Jeffries the award honors a veteran whose contributions to the veteran and local communities is “above and beyond.”
In addition, you can nominate a business for the Illinois Veterans’ Business Appreciation Award. Jeffries says that award “highlights the work of any business, organization, or non-profit that has significantly helped veterans.”
You can submit your nominations for this quarter up to September 15th. Once all four finalists are picked from each quarter, the IDVA chooses a Veteran and Business of the Year.
