Monari family officially passes restaurant onto a new owner

Posted by wlpo on September 2, 2016

If you were thinking about buying the old Monari’s 101 Club in La Salle, you waited too long.

The Monari family took to Facebook to confirm that the famous restaurant has been sold. The Monari’s say they think the business is in good hands with new owners Donnie and Ellen Moore. The Moore’s are part of the same family that runs another iconic Illinois Valley diner, the Root Beer Stand in Oglesby.

The new name for the restaurant on 1st Street in La Salle is the 101 Supper Club. Monari’s 101 Club closed last April after 51 years in business.
