Streator should be buzzing over Labor Day weekend

Posted by wlpo on September 1, 2016

When it comes to celebrating Labor Day, few towns do it better than Streator.

On Saturday the city hosts a cruise night that brands itself as the largest in downstate Illinois. Over 500 cars are expected to be on display including a 1917 Roamer that was built in Streator. The cruise night is downtown from 6 until 10 while the car show is earlier in the day Saturday from 9 until 3 at City Park.

On Sunday, the annual Streator Labor Day Parade gets going at noon.
