Oglesby Man Given More than Six Years in Prison for Ecstasy Possession

Posted by wlpo on August 19, 2016

While you’ve probably heard about arrests for heroin and cocaine, an Oglesby man is headed to prison for possession of a different drug.

Twenty-one year old Jeremy Brolley appeared before Judge Cynthia Raccuglia and several somber friends and family Friday as he pled guilty to possession of MDMA. Agents with the drug group Tri-DENT arrested Brolley back in February for having more than half of a pound of the drug, also known as ecstasy.

As a result of a plea agreement, Raccuglia sentenced Brolley to 6.5 years in prison, followed by 2 years of probation. In court, she said probation would not be considered due to the sheer amount of drugs Brolley had been caught with.

This wasn’t Brolley’s first brush with police, as he had also pled guilty back in 2014 to possession of cannabis.
