Posted by wlpo on August 6, 2016

Two suspected drug dealers are off the streets in Streator courtesy of an Illinois Valley drug enforcement team.

Tri-DENT Agents searched the home of 21-year old Rashad Anchando where 20-year old Romeo Blackman of Chicago was shortly before 5:00 Friday morning. There, they say they found 9 grams of, what they believe to be, heroin on Blackman and another 41 baggies of alleged heroin in the house. They also found a loaded handgun that was allegedly stolen from the state of Mississippi.

Blackman and Anchando have been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, as well as possession of a stolen weapon. They were taken to the county jail in Ottawa where they will wait for a bond hearing.
