CVS Pharmacy looking to open store in Ottawa

It looks like Ottawa will be gaining a pharmacy in exchange for losing a movie store.

Plans for a CVS Pharmacy in Ottawa are moving forward. The Ottawa City Council voted on Tuesday to send a request to the city’s planning commission to review and give recommendations on a zoning amendment and conditional use permit for a drive-thru for the pharmacy.

The project, as proposed would require a few houses as well as a Family Video located near the Columbus Street and Norris Drive intersection to be demolished to make room for the pharmacy.
