At this point, if you’re filling up for more than two dollars a gallon then you are overpaying.
According to GasBuddy.com, Peru has the cheapest spot for gas at $1.88 a gallon. You can pay $1.89 in Streator with La Salle, Mendota, Princeton, Oglesby and Ottawa all having gas at $1.93 to $1.99 a gallon.
The statewide average for unleaded is $2.15, that’s down four cents from a week ago.
