Ottawa Public Works Director Retires Amid Accusations

Posted by wlpo on July 19, 2016

The City of Ottawa is officially in the market for a new director of public works.

The retirement of 64-year old Bob Shull took effect Tuesday, when Shull said in a letter to Ottawa Mayor Bob Eschbach that he would be “leaving the workforce” to “watch my grandchildren grow up.” Shull’s resignation came while he faced battery and disorderly conduct accusations.

Back in January, Shull is accused of creating a disturbance and “shoving” someone at a public works building. He is supposed to have a court appearance relating to the incident on Friday.
