Lake Holiday residents hold suspect for police

Some Lake Holiday residents know the police can’t be everywhere, so they did what they had to do Saturday night until police arrived. The Sheriff’s office said 18-year old Trent Stephens was allegedly trying to burglarize a home and vehicles in the Lake Holiday area.
A deputy went to 1653 Hilda in Lake Holiday where residents were holding Stephens for authorities. Stephens was charged with attempted residential burglary and went to the county jail pending a bond hearing with a judge. The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the incident.
