Truck stops in the Illinois Valley seeing plenty of gambling action

Posted by wlpo on May 23, 2016

If you want to make the most money off of video gambling, open a truck stop.

Four spots in the Illinois Valley saw over $200,000 get pumped into video gambling machines last month and three of them were truck stops. Over $265,000 was gambled at the Road Ranger in Princeton with $263,000 wagered at the Flying J in La Salle. The Road Ranger in Ottawa saw over $252,000 of action. Maybe surprisingly the other spot with well over $200,000 wagered in video gambling machines last month was the Shell station north of Interstate 80 in Peru.

While not as popular as Road Ranger’s, Love’s truck stops in Oglesby and Utica did see over $340,000 in wagers combined last month.
