Pendleton remains elusive for 1 week

Posted by wlpo on May 15, 2016

Dracy “Clint” Pendleton has eluded authorities for a week now.   An abandoned truck believed stolen by Pendleton last weekend was found recently and police have stepped up their search for the man in a wilderness area in Pope County on the southern tip of the state.

A week ago, Pendleton shot and wounded a Mahomet police officer and left the scene. The officer has since returned to duty.  Pendleton is believed to be wounded and could be carrying an AK-47.
