Oglesby students help to shine light on food allergies

Posted by wlpo on May 12, 2016

It’s not unusual for students at a catholic school to wear matching outfits. It was all about coordinating colors Wednesday at Holy Family School in Oglesby.

Students and teachers wore teal to bring awareness to food allergies. One in 13 children in the United States has a food allergy.

Holy Family students were sent home with information about food allergy risks for children. This week is “Food Allergy Awareness Week”.
