Conservation Police busy with big crowds at Starved Rock

The first big warm weather crowd of the year at Starved Rock State Park was fairly well behaved.

Sgt. Phil Wire says over 30 tickets were written up Sunday for minor violations. He says six minor drug arrests were also made at the park. Considering the large crowd, Wire says it was a pretty good weekend at the state park.

Injury wise, one woman was taken to OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa Sunday for an ankle injury after misjudging a step on a trail.
