Spring Valley woman claims lottery prize

Last week you heard about a winning lottery ticket being sold in downtown La Salle. Today comes news about who won the $300,000.

Janina Ligas of Spring Valley is the big winner in the Lucky Day Lotto. Her ticket matched all five winning numbers in last Wednesday’s drawing. She bought the ticket at the downtown La Salle Shell station.

Ligas told the Illinois Lottery that “It will be so nice to be debt free!” She plans to pay bills and pay off her mortgage.
