The governor is coming to DePue

Seemingly for the first time since being elected governor, Republican Bruce Rauner is visiting the Illinois Valley.
The governor is planning to stop at DePue High School this afternoon at 2:15. He’s expected to focus on school funding and education reforms.
Many small school districts like DePue have at least looked at making staff or program cuts in some part due to lack of state funding.
