Men Caught Handing Off Gun in Broad Daylight Now Face Felony Charges

Posted by wlpo on March 19, 2016

Here’s something you don’t see every day, a gun changing hands out in the open.

Ottawa police officers saw exactly that yesterday around 3 on LaSalle Street. When police confronted the men, they ran. Officers eventually tracked down Aajae Adams and Tony Burns, both from Ottawa. The two men were both charged with Defacing Identification Marks of a Firearm, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm, both felonies.

Adams was also charged with resisting a peace officer. Both men were taken to the LaSalle County Jail.
