Ottawa student section picked as one of the best in Illinois

The votes have been tabulated and Ottawa High’s student section is one of the eight best in the state according to the Illinois High School Association.

High schools were divided into Classes 1A/2A and Classes 3A/4A based on enrollment. The IHSA picked four finalists for each group and Ottawa is a finalist in the 3A/4A competition. L-P was also vying to be a finalist.

Representatives from the “Ottawa Pirate Nation” will be at the Class 3A boys’ basketball championship game in Peoria March 19th to find out the overall winner.
