Princeton Man Arrested for Heroin Possession by Illinois Valley Drug Group

A Princeton man is the latest arrest as part of a crackdown on heroin in the Illinois Valley.

Members of the drug group Tri-DENT got word that Benjamin Fisher was headed to Chicago to buy heroin. He was pulled over last Thursday at the intersection of Interstate 180 and Route 26. During a search of his car officers say they found 24 baggies of heroin.

Fisher was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Bureau County Jail where he posted bond of $3,000 the next day and was released.
