December gas prices holding under two dollars a gallon

So far, so good for falling gas prices in December.

According to GasBuddy.com, you can fill up in La Salle for a $1.66 a gallon. Gas in Peru can be found for $1.71 a gallon while stations in Oglesby have it for $1.75 a gallon. Unleaded in Ottawa, Streator, Princeton and Mendota ranges from $1.82 to $1.87.

The average price of gas statewide is $1.99, that’s actually up two cents from last Friday.
