Banks in Mendota team up to help less fortunate children

Posted by wlpo on November 23, 2015

Elves will be popping up at banks in Mendota, and with your help they can make a family’s Christmas brighter.

Operation Elf Action is going on through December 4th, under the guidance of the Mendota Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors. The elves are equipped with tags that have a child’s name, gender, and size. You can select a tag and use it as a guide to buy a gift for the child. You’re asked to register the tag with the bank receptionist, and then put the tag on the wrapped package.

The program is asks that you not spend more than $25 on each child, and to select more than one if you wish to give more. Wrapped gifts can be dropped off at Eureka Savings Bank at 1300 13th Avenue in Mendota.
