Heavy smoke coming from a structure can hint of a big fire. However, Streator firemen were able to limit damage Wednesday afternoon to largely the kitchen at 312 South Otter Creek street.
Streator firefighter Bryan Park told “Classic Hits 103-9 WLPO” news, they got the call just after 3:30 and had the fire out 5 minutes after arrival. There was smoke damage to other rooms, but the cause isn’t known. A small dog was saved.
A dozen firemen were at the scene until 5:30.
