DIXON, Ill. (AP) – If you’re a belt buckle collector, get ready to throw some money around. More things once belonging to former Dixon comptroller Rita Crundwell will be auctioned off.

A recent auction of an English riding saddle, spurs and other goodies raised nearly $47,000 and the next auction starts Tuesday and runs through Dec. 1st and includes Crundwell’s collection of belt buckles. Auction proceeds will go to Dixon.

Crundwell stole millions from the city over two decades. She was convicted in one of the largest government embezzlement cases in American history and is serving a 19-year sentence.
